Home sweet home
On Thursday we were finally able to go home! It is so nice to be in our home as a new family! Michael couldn't be any cuter. He loves to hold, snuggle, kiss, and dress her. I feel lucky that I am able to be home with her.
Birth Day
My due date came and went and I was still pregnant so we scheduled to be induced on Jan. 9 at 7am. The night before I felt like I was a little kid on Christmas Eve. When it was finally time to wake up and get ready I had no problem getting out of bed. Michael and I got all ready and headed to the hospital excited about getting to finally meet our little girl.
When we arrived at the hospital they told us there was not a room for us and they would call us when one was ready. Of course being a week over I was very emotional. We decided to go to Michael's parents house and hang out there until we got the call. After waiting several hours I call my mom and had her call her neighbor (Kris) who is a nurse at that hospital in labor a delivery and ask her if she could find out when I would be able to go in. Kris worked out a deal that if she came in on her day off we could go in! Thank you Kris! Around 12 we were admitted and they started me on a pill to help soften my cervix and put me into labor. Well my contractions started and kept on into the night with out any change until the next morning. My doctor came in around 8 am on Jan. 10 and broke my water.
Avanley is an amazing blessing in our lives! I fall more in love with her everyday! I am so grateful for the blessing and ability I have to be a mother!
| All of the nurses and doctors kept saying that her hair was red but we didn't believe them until after she got her first bath. It isn't as red as my Dads, it more of an auburn! |

The unknown is no longer unknown!!!
Last Thursday August 18th we found out that our little baby is a GIRL!!!! If you have talked to me while I have been prego you know how much I want a girl! Going to the doctors I had a little prayer in my heart that we would know my Heavenly Fathers plan for us in raising this wonderful child of God and that I would be excited if we were having a boy or a girl. It was a long wait for the doctor to finally tell us that we were going to have a little girl. If you know the Scott family you know how girls are seriously lacking. It was so fun to tell Michael's parents that they are going to have another granddaughter (9 grandsons and only 3 granddaughters soon to be 4). My parents both thought that we were going to have a little boy and they were very excited to hear it is a girl (2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons). The girls are way out number in our families.
Michael and I decided to go the Carter's afterward to celebrate and buy 1 outfit each for our daughter.... of course I couldn't just pick one! Everything is just so cute! It is so amazing that technology has changed so much and we are able to find out the sex of our baby before hand. I have been waiting for this day for a long time and now that it has come and gone I have been keeping busy buying fabric, making hair clips and headbands, and dreaming of who she is going to look like. Is she going to have my nose, Michael's smile, red hair like Grandpa, only 19 more weeks and all these questions will be answered.
I have been feeling her move all around. It is an interesting feeling to know that I am growing a little baby. I knew that before but now that I can feel her move it is a beautiful reminder all day long that she is really there. The other night (Aug 22) she was moving so much it was like she was swimming laps. I put Michael's hand on my tummy to see if he could feel it and sure enough he could. It is fun for Michael to be able to feel her. I already love her so much!

20 weeks
So I am now 20 weeks along and looking forward to Thurday. Thursday is the day we find out if Peanut is a girl or a boy. I have been planning tons of sewing projects (bed set, blanket, headbands if it is a girl and ties if it is a boy, burp clothes, and so on) so on Thurday I will be able to go to Joann's and buy all of the cute baby fabric that I have been waiting for.
A few weeks ago I started feeling the baby move around in my tummy and it is so cool to know that Heavenly Father has trusted me and Michael to raise this beautiful child. Michael keeps trying to feel the baby move but he hasn't been able to yet, hopefully soon.
This past weekend was Sharlee and Kaia's birthday and Hunter's baby blessing. We had a lot of fun spending time with the family. Here are some pictures from Hunter's blessing.

My great deal!!!!
Friday night my friend Claire texts me and tells me about this sidewalk sale going on Saturday morning. Her friend had gone that morning and purchased a carseat for $20. If you know me you understand how much I LOVE sales! Black Friday is one of my favorite days of the year! I knew that I could not pass up this sale. The problem was that Michael's brother Brian was getting married that day in Carson City and we had to leave early that morning before the store opened. So with quick thinking I call my sister Shawnelle (my black friday shopping buddy) and asked her what her plan was for the next day. She didnt have much scheduled so I told her all about this wonderful sale and asked her if she could go for me and get us a stroller and carseat. Shawnelle being a wonderful sister said she would but needed to see if Kara could come over and watch the kiddos while she did the shopping (4 kids and crazy women fight over sale items are not a good mixture!) Kara being a wonderful sister said she would watch the kids. I was one happy girl! That night while I was trying to fall asleep I couldnt. I kept thinking about this sale and hoped that there really was going to be one and that Shawnelle didnt go and there would be nothing! Saturday morning came around and Shawnelle arrived at Goores and sure enough there was a huge sidewalk sale. While we were on the phone with each other she was looking around and picked out the items she want to get for us. She picked us out a Graco stroller and an Evenflo carseat. After claiming them she went to the register and thinking that each piece was going to be $25 Shawnelle was ready to pay a little over $50 but when they told her the total it wasnt in the 50s it was $32.33!!!! Each one was only $15 for a brand new carseat and brand new stroller when the orginal price tag said each one was $180!!!! What a great deal! Thank you so much Shawnelle and Kara!!!!
